A huge thank you for volunteering to help at the Summer Fayre. We absolutely cannot run these events or fundraise to the extent we do without the help of lovely people like you.
A few things to know about the day...
- The Combe Down Rugby Minis season kicks off on Sunday and they have very kindly agreed to move their usual 10-11am training to 9.45-10.45am to give the cars time to get off site before the Fayre begins. They will only be using the bottom of the pitch and the 4G, so we will be able to set up on the half nearest the Club House.
- No vehicles will be allowed on or off site between 11.15am-3.30pm as a safety measure. You are however very welcome to park in the car park during this time.
- The committee will be on site from 9am on Sunday and all stalls are required to be set up by 11.30am when the children have been asked to arrive to get ready to sing.
- The PTA HQ will be situated near the main entrance and this is where you come for change, additional prizes or to speak with a committee member. All volunteers are kindly asked to wear a flower lei when helping out to make you easily recognisable as required by our Risk Assessment.
- First Aid is being provided on the day by ASM Training.
- Due to the weather forecast all stalls will need a gazebo for shade, but please remember no tent pegs are allowed in the pitch for health and safety reasons, please let us know if your stall require weights.
- We recommend all volunteers bring a camping chair for comfort and a table if required for the stall.
- All stalls will be able to take cash and phone payments over £1 using QR Codes, but cash back is also available at the PTA HQ.
- The children will sing at 12 after the Fayre is officially opened and the fayre shuts at 3pm, when we have to clear the field.
- No glass or dogs are allowed on the pitch.
- Toilets are located inside the Club House.
- No rubbish can be left on the pitch and bins will be located near the main entrance.
